Carlsbad, NM January 16 Carlsbad RV Park Our friend Ken flew his plane from Colorado to visit this weekend! So fun, and we got to drink Pina Coladas..lots of them! We went to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Wow! The caves are HUGE! It’s like being in an underground cathedral. We had to walk down into the cave; the elevator was out of order. White Sands National Monument

White Sands National Monument January 12 We stayed in Las Cruces at the KOA just outside of town after we left Tombstone. The reason we are here is to go to White Sands National Park. We only were able to spend a few hours here, but it was a fun few hours. When you drive in the sand on the road is compacted down so much that it looked like we were driving on an icy road, very weird. The park lets you rent plastic sleds/disks to slide down the sand dunes. Liam and Quinn had a blast sledding...

Tucson

Tucson, AZ January 7-9 KOA We came to Tucson to meet up with Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jean, who are also traveling. We stayed at the KOA and it surprisingly very nice. I would have liked to be able to hang out there for a few more days, but we had to keep moving. Maybe it was the change of pace from the desert, but it was a nice change.
