Tallahassee, Florida

Tallahassee, FL February 5-6 Lakeside RV We’re here to visit another friend. We had a great time with Erin and Brian. Their back yard is amazing, I’ve never seen anything like. Riding 4 wheelers through the woods at 10pm and getting lost is also great fun…thanks Erin! No, really, it is. We had a great meal and hung out by the fire pit most of the night. Fun...

Destin, FL January 31- February 4 Camp Gulf We have been looking forward to being the beach again. When we got here it was a bit cloudy, we could still take a walk on the beach, it was beautiful. The sand is this super fine white sand; it feels great on your feet. From that day on, it rained. Oh well, so much for beach days and sun tans. It is February, I guess we get what we get, and we don’t throw a fit. Still, we wish we had more beach time. The campground was nice; they had...

New Orleans

New Orleans January 28- January 30 Pontchartrain Landing We weren’t sure about coming to New Orleans with kids. To be honest, it was fantastic. What a great surprise! We were only able to spend two days exploring and we thought that would be enough, it wasn’t. The first day we went out, we went to the French Quarter and realized Mardi Gras festivities had already started. There was nothing too crazy, but the kids got their first set of beads from some people who started a little impromptu parade. They were hooked! We ate dessert first because, why not....

Houston

Houston, TX January 22-26 Allstar RV Resort Houston was fun. Our first day there we went to our friends Lou and Louisa’s place for their daughters birthday party. It was great to see them, hang with their awesome family and eat some Texas BBQ. Liam’s turned ten on the 25th. We went to see Star Wars again, his birthday request. A little pizza from Whole Foods and everyone was happy. On Sunday, we went to Space Center Houston. We went on both the tours which were both great but for very different reasons. The first tour was in the...

San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio, TX January 18-21 San Antonio KOA We spent most of the time hanging around the campground. It was a beautiful big campground about 10 minutes from downtown. We went to the San Antonio Riverwalk and took the boat ride. The tour gives a tiny bit of history but mostly tells you where the hotels and restaurants are. We ate at Riverwalk as well. We knew what we were getting into, mediocre Mexican food that was expensive. We miss Fuzzy’s Taco Shop! Another day we went to see the Alamo. We all learned something new and lately, history...
