November 4-7

Rancho Oso RV Resort & Campground

We were happy to be getting further north. There are so many amazing things about doing a trip like this, it has also had it’s challenges. No phone service or internet here, their website says differently. Ken had to get up at 5 am to drive down to Starbucks so he could work. We could communicate through text, but that was all. I really liked the campground, it was just a bit isolated.

We went to Santa Barbara pier one night. We walked around and had dinner at a place on the pier. We wanted to walk around Santa Barbara; it’s beautiful, after a second look we realized most of the shops were mall stores, no need to go to H&M right now, so we skipped it.

We spent a Saturday in Solvang, a little town founded by the Dutch. It is very cute, it is also very touristy, we loved it. We ate danish and had coffee, yum! We spent the early part of the day walking around, window shopping, and buying, new hat! We also had a great lunch that reminded me of my mother’s cooking, sausages, red cabbage, potatoes, and sauerkraut.

We got some cookies for the road.

We’re heading north tomorrow, can’t wait!!
